ZEBRA ZQ600 HC SERIES: Premium Mobile Printer Series for Healthcare Environments

The mobile printer series ZQ600 HC by Zebra comes with excellent features to optimize labelling in healthcare environments, such as hospitals, laboratories or the pharmaceutical industry. They precisely print barcodes, text and graphics, for example, for the labelling of specimen or medical products. The large color display makes sure, the printers can be used intuitively. The display color changes to notify the user when an error occurs, e.g. if the cover is not properly closed or if the printer is out of printing material. When not used, the printer switches into sleep mode to save power and is instantly available when receiving a print job via Bluetooth or WLAN.

The ZQ600 HC comprises two printer models, the ZQ610, with a print width of 48 mm, and the ZQ620, with a print width of 72 mm. Depending on the application field and the required label sizes, the two models provide an excellent mobile printing solution for medical environments. A resolution of 203 dpi ensures accurate print results and a maximum print speed of up to 115 mm per second contributes to smooth working procedures. Different sorts of media, for example color-coded media that complies with CLSI standards, are available. The direct thermal printers of the ZQ600 HC series by Zebra can process labels, tags, liner-less labels or receipt paper. They are equipped with a sensor for black mark and gap media. For optimal convenience, the printers provide a peel-and-present mode. Variable roll widths can be loaded. Because of the clamshell design, media loading is particularly simple.

To ensure that all sorts of devices can be easily integrated into existing systems, Zebra provides the LinkOS operating system together with the Print DNA software suite. A unified management dashboard helps controlling and managing the ZQ600 HC series printers and other Zebra devices. The mobile printers of the ZQ600 HC series can be integrated into device management systems, such as VMware Workspace ONE (formerly AirWatch), SOTI MobiControl and Ivanti Avalanche. Zebra’s Print DNA also improves the performance of the ZQ600 HC printers with productivity and development tools. Additionally, it provides tools for enhanced data security and device diagnostics. 256 MB RAM and 512 MB Flash offer enough memory capacity for current and future needs. The ZQ610 and ZQ620 label printers are compatible with Apple iOS, Android and Microsoft Windows. They support CPCL, EPL, ZPL and ZBI 2.x programming languages.

Busy healthcare facilities require technical equipment that is resistant against mechanical stress. The one-piece design and an over-molding process ensure high durability and a long service life of the Zebra ZQ600 HC series’ mobile label printers. They can withstand drops from a height of up to 1.52 m to concrete. The robust label printers are protected against the ingress of dust and liquids in accordance with protection class IP43 or even IP54 with the optional soft case.

The printer series Zebra ZQ600 HC is equipped with a high-capacity PowerPrecision+ battery providing energy for long working hours. Together with Zebra’s excellent power management and PSPT (Power Smart Print Technology™), battery power can be saved and aging batteries identified and replaced.

The mobile label printers of the Zebra ZQ600 HC series are compatible with QLn accessories.
