ZEBRA ZQ511/ZQ521: Rugged Mobile Printer Series
The new Zebra ZQ series’ label printers ZQ511 and ZQ521 are direct thermal printers for mobile applications. They print barcodes, text or graphics in vertical or horizontal orientation. Linerless material can be processed, which is an economical solution because there are more labels on each media roll. It also reduces waste. With the dual-sided tear bar, labels and receipts can be conveniently removed. Both printers are also available with RFID.
The Zebra ZQ511 allows a maximum print width of 72 mm, the ZQ521 of 104 mm. As the media rolls are positioned in the center, variable roll widths are possible to ensure a versatile use of the compact mobile devices. They reach print speeds of maximal 127 mm per second and provide a print resolution of 203 dpi. An LCD and large function keys offer a convenient user interface even with gloves.
For an improved print quality, the new wireless printers ZQ511/ZQ521 are equipped with latest print technology regarding printhead and print mechanism as well as a new processor and extended memory capacity. Zebra’s Print DNA software suite includes tools to enhance productivity and remote management of the printers. They enable easy configuration and real-time monitoring of the devices. PPME, SNMP, WebServer, Mirror, VMware Workspace ONE (formerly AirWatch), Soto and Wavelink Avalanche are supported. The printers are compatible with Android, Windows Mobile and iOS operating systems. The printer languages are: CPCL, ZPL, ZBI 2.X and ESC-POS is available via post-sale download.
Integrated WiFi and Bluetooth enable wireless connectivity to provide maximum mobility. The ZQ511 and ZQ521 Zebra printers also come with NFC for easy pairing.
The mobile printers ZQ511/ZQ521 are designed for busy working processes. They come with a special overmolding to ensure high durability. The two printers can withstand shock and vibration, tumbles and drops. They are resistant to drops from a height of 2 m and with the optional exoskeleton case even from a height of 2.5 m to concrete. Protection class IP54 ensures protection against the ingress of particles and water. The exoskeleton case increases the protection class to IP65. The high-capacity battery is user-replaceable and rechargeable. When the printers are not in use, they will turn into sleep mode to save energy and instantly wake up when a print job is received.
