ZEBRA ZE511/ZE521: Industrial-grade Print Engines for Integration into Automated Labeling Systems

High Efficiency, low cost: If large quantities need to be labeled on a regular basis, an automated applicator system enhances productivity and reduces costs. The Zebra ZE511 and ZE521 print engines can be integrated into an automated labeling system. Labels are printed with necessary information in the form of barcodes and text and are automatically applied to products or packages. For optimal integration, the ZE511 and ZE521 printers are equipped with an applicator interface. Because of their all-metal construction, the print engines are suitable for industrial use.

Printing with the Zebra ZE511/ZE521: The print modules ZE511 and ZE521 come with a quick release thin film printhead with E3 (Element Energy Equalizer) for excellent print quality. The 4-inch ZE511 allows a maximum print width of 104 mm and enables a print resolution of 203 dpi, 300 dpi or 600 dpi. With the 6-inch printer ZE521, a maximum print width of 168 mm is possible with a print resolution of either 203 dpi or 300 dpi. Both print engines can process continuous, die-cut and black mark media types and enable direct thermal as well as thermal transfer print methods.

RFID printing capabilities: The 4-inch and 6-inch printer modules ZE511/ZE521 are available with an RFID reader/encoder. It enables the printing and encoding of RFID tags. Industry-standard multi-vendor chip-based serialization (MCS) is supported. It is also possible to install RFID on site by means of a UHF RFID kit.

User-friendly operation: A rotatable 4.3-inch color display ensures uncomplicated and convenient use of the ZE511 and ZE521 printers.

Memory, printer languages and connectivity: The ZE511 and ZE521 print engines by Zebra come with 512 MB RAM and 512 MB Flash. Printer languages are ZPL and ZPL II. PDF Direct enables the printing of PDFs without middleware. The printers are equipped with a real time clock (RTC). They offer USB 2.0 and USB Host, RS-232, Ethernet and parallel ports. To facilitate the integration into an applicator system, they specifically come with an applicator interface. Wireless communication is enabled via Bluetooth and dual Wi-Fi.
