ZEBRA ZD420-HC: Desktop Label Printer, Optimized for Healthcare Applications
Zebra’s brand-new, compact label printer ZD420-HC meets the requirements of todays healthcare environments. To ensure highest hygiene standards, the housing, including the sealed user interface keys, can be regularly cleaned with disinfecting agents. The printer’s power supply complies with IEC 60601-1 requirements for medical electrical equipment.
Operation of the Zebra ZD420-HC desktop printer is perfectly easy so that no extensive training is necessary. Zebra’s Print DNA provides optimal software solutions, including development tools, management tools, productivity and diagnostics tools, enabling management and trouble shooting even of a large number of printers from any location. The healthcare printer comes with a clear 3-button interface and with 5 LED status icons for intuitive use. For a quick and easy ribbon change, simply open the top of the cabinet and insert a new cartridge.
The Zebra ZD420-HC is available as direct thermal or thermal transfer printer. It supports EPL and ZPL printer languages. The ZD420-HC label printer allows versatile use, for example, the printing of labels, prescriptions or wristbands. In some healthcare fields, particularly small printouts are necessary for labelling tiny phials. This is why the ZD420-HC printer can be obtained with a resolution of 300 dpi, enabling exceptionally precise and crisp printouts. An accessory kit for a field-upgrade is available to retrofit the device later if required.
The clever desktop printer ZD420-HC by Zebra can easily be connected to a PC or a mobile device through multiple connectivity options. It comes with USB 2.0 and Bluetooth Low Energy as a standard and can be customized onsite with Serial and Ethernet connectivity. There are also models with integrated wireless radio 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.1 available (factory installed).
Due to a movable sensor, the Zebra ZD420-HC label printer allows the use of various media from virtually any supplier, providing optimal flexibility. It also supports high-capacity ribbons to reduce costs and minimize downtime.
The Zebra ZD420-HC can be equipped with a lock to prevent unauthorized access, for example to prescription forms. Additionally, the printer is available with a Kensington Lock slot. Peeler and cutter are field-installable accessories and allow more convenient use.
If required, it is also possible to attach the new battery power base to enable a mobile use of the Zebra ZD420-HC. This useful option allows an even more flexible use of the ZD420-HC label printer wherever it may be needed.
