ZEBRA WT6300: Versatile Wearable Computer for Hands-free Operations

The Zebra WT6300 wearable computer provides workers, who need both hands for smooth working procedures, the freedom of movement they need. Its 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen can be operated with fingers or gloves and will automatically adjust touch sensitivity. Even when it gets wet, the screen remains controllable. Optimal viewability and high durability of the color display is ensured with optical bonding technology. An alphanumeric keypad option enables convenient manual data entry. This is particularly valuable, if legacy Windows CE applications are migrated to the WT6300 Android mobile computer. By means of a physical keyboard, key-based applications can still be used and well-functioning workflows seamlessly continued.

For advanced processing power, the new Zebra WT6300 comes with a more powerful CPU than its predecessor, the WT6000. The WT6300 wearable terminal is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.2 GHz octa-core processor and provides 3 GB RAM and 32 GB Flash. The Android 10 operating system enables uncomplicated operation with its well-known user interface. Zebra’s Mobility DNA software suite includes applications to enhance Android functionality and control the use of Google Mobile Services with GMS Restricted Mode. The Mobility DNA also provides tools for optimized performance and usability.

The Zebra WT6300 wearable computer is equipped with essential wireless connectivity. It comes with latest Bluetooth 5.0 (BLE) functionality, offering unprecedented speed and a radio range of up to 100 m. NFC enables tap-to-pair simplicity. Also, the WT6300 provides integrated 2 x 2 MU-MIMO dual band WLAN technology (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/d/h/i/r/k/w/v/mc) and Zebra’s WorryFree Wi-Fi as part of the Mobility DNA.

Warehousing and manufacturing environments require robust devices to ensure a long service life. The WT6300 by Zebra is made for real-life applications. It survives drops from a height of 1.2 m and is sealed against dust and water ingress in accordance with protection class IP65. The rugged wearable can be wiped with disinfectant cleaning agents to prevent the spread of germs when the device is used by several workers. The WT6300 is also resistant against tumbles and vibration. It can withstand extreme temperatures from -30 °C to +50 °C and is, therefore, suitable for cold storage environments.

The mobile computer WT6300 by Zebra can be equipped with a rechargeable standard battery (3500 mAh) or with a freezer-rated extended battery (5000 mAh). Thanks to the hot-swap capability, batteries can be changed while the computer is running. Intelligent energy management is part of the Mobility DNA software suite. The WT6300 provides visual (multi-colored LEDs), haptic and audible feedback. It comes with speaker and microphone, enabling the integration of push-to-talk applications.

The whole WT6000 accessory range is compatible with the new WT6300 wearable computer. It is possible to combine the WT6300 with a corded or a Bluetooth ring scanner (e.g. RS5100, RS6000, RS4000, RS5000) and with the HD4000 head mounted display.
