ZEBRA TC73/TC78: Rugged Mobile Computers with extensive functionality
Quality without compromise: Modern workflows require a high degree of flexibility without compromising on productivity. The two handheld data terminals TC73 and the TC78 are made for such challenges. Their advanced octa-core processor, the Qualcomm 6490, is available with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB flash memory, or with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB flash memory. In addition, with the integrated MicroSD card slot, storage capacity can be extended by up to 2 TB. The two mobile computers are equipped with the Android operating system which is upgradeable to version Android 16.
Ergonomic and user-friendly: The two handhelds TC73 and TC78 are easy to use for small and large hands alike. To ensure a good grip, the devices are slimmer in the middle. The 6-inch touch display offers a large user interface. More content can be displayed, and less scrolling is required. The screen is excellently viewable both indoors and outdoors. The clear menu can be navigated with the finger or stylus. The touchscreen can be operated with gloves and even when it gets wet.
Ultra-fast data capture: The PDTs TC73 and TC78 can be equipped with a scan engine that suits individual requirements. There are two scan engines available: The SE4770 standard-range scan engine enables barcode acquisition at a distance of up to 60 cm. For more demanding applications, the SE55 scan engine is a recommendable choice. It allows 1D and 2D barcode capture at close range or at greater distances of up to 12.2 meters. The innovative IntelliFocus technology ensures lightning-fast focusing and therefore extremely effective data capture at close and long range. It eliminates long walking distances, or the need to climb ladders or bend down in order to capture a barcode. It also enables convenient data collection directly from the forklift. For example, in spacious warehouse environments with high shelves, the SE55 scan engine is an excellent choice. Both scanners read barcodes and QR codes accurately, regardless of their condition or the ambient light. It is possible to capture multiple codes simultaneously. Two physical scan buttons are conveniently accessible.
Latest wireless technology: The ZEBRA handhelds TC73 and TC78 offer up-to-date wireless connectivity. Both terminals are equipped with Wi-Fi 6E as well as Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC, e.g., for contactless payment. The TC78 additionally provides 5G mobile network connectivity and GPS.
Excellent voice communication: Good communication within the company and with the outside world is vital. The mobile terminals TC73 and TC78 support Push-to-Talk functionality. They are equipped with three microphones and two loudspeakers with noise suppression to ensure ultimate audio quality.
Mobility DNA: ZEBRA’s comprehensive software suite Mobility DNA provides tools to optimize use and functionality of the TC73 and TC78. With minimal effort, the terminals can be integrated and put into operation, regardless of whether only a few or hundreds of devices are involved. In addition, the Mobility DNA provides tools for convenient device management as well as diagnostics tools. In GMS Restricted Mode, Google Mobile Services features can be restricted as desired. Rugged hardware: The handhelds TC73 and TC78 are made for rough environments and are ideal for applications in manufacturing, warehousing, transport and logistics or delivery. Whether indoors or outdoors, the TC73 and TC78 can be used within a temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C. They are protected against the ingress of moisture and particles in accordance with protection classes IP65 and IP68. Even strong jets of water and submersion in water cannot impair the function of the robust mobile computers. The display and scan window are made of scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass. ZEBRA’s TC73 and TC78 PDAs can even withstand drops from a height of over 3 meters.
Four battery options: Available are a standard battery (4400 mAh), an extended battery (6600 mAh), a variant for wireless charging, and a battery with a Bluetooth beacon to locate a device even when the battery is empty.
Cameras: The 16-megapixel rear camera can be used, for example, to document defective goods or damaged packaging. For best possible results, premium models are equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS) and with ToF sensor. Additionally, there is an 8-megapixel front camera for video calls.

Zebra Dimensioning: This feature enables the measurement of parcel dimensions and is ideal for shipment applications.
RFID sled: The RFID sled enables RFID data capturing at a read rate of 1300 tags per second.
Workstation Connect/Workstation Docking Station: With the Workstation Connect software solution together with the docking station, mobile computers can be used with the functionality of a desktop PC.
