Zebra LI4278: Clever 1D Barcode Scanning Solution

The Zebra LI4278 linear imager provides top scanning performance. Its impressive scanning speed and extremely high angular and motion tolerance make it a useful tool for efficient barcode reading. The LI4278 allows a reading range from near contact to 76.2 cm of 100 % UPC barcodes and of up to 139.7 cm of 200 % UPC barcodes. The advanced imager reads barcodes off labels or displays and can also decode high density barcodes that are frequently used in some manufacturing areas. A bright scan line enables operation outdoors in bright sunlight as well as indoors with low light conditions.

For optimal mobility, the Zebra LI4278 handheld scanner is equipped with Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Class II, providing a radio range of up to 100 m. Easy pairing and better security features improve usability and smart energy management ensures enough power for a whole shift even with a high scan throughput. The strong, replaceable battery can manage up to 57,000 scans per charge. Its batch mode provides internal storage for more than 500 barcodes so that the device can be used outside radio range as well and data be transmitted to the host later.

An optional cradle for hands-free presentation scanning is available to provide more flexibility. Up to seven scanners can be connected with one presentation cradle. The Zebra LI4278 handheld scanners may be conveniently managed with the remote management tools.

The Zebra LI4278 is made for everyday use. Its single-circuit board design and robust construction ensure a long life even under demanding circumstances. The device can withstand drops from a height of up to 1.8 m to concrete. Protection class IP53 sealing prevents ingress of dust and protects the Zebra LI4278 against sprays of water.
