UNITECH RG760: UHF RFID pistol grip for the PA760 mobile terminal

The Unitech RG760 UHF RFID reader is equipped with the Impinj R2000 RFID module and allows reading rates of up to 750 tags per second, substantially accelerating data acquisition. With its circular antenna, the RG760 provides a reading range of up to 6 m. Output power can be adjusted according to the required reading range, which saves energy or extends the possible reading distance. The Unitech RG760 provides three RFID reading modes to choose from: long range, cycle count (for large amounts of individual tags) or rapid read.

As the Unitech RG760 RFID reader was particularly designed for the mobile terminal PA760, the handheld can be easily attached to the pistol grip. With the trigger, it is possible to control the RFID reader as well as the barcode reader, which is integrated in the mobile computer PA760. The trigger also wakes the handheld terminal from sleep mode.

The UHF RFID reader RG760 by Unitech is made for challenging environments. Together with the PA760 terminal, it can withstand drops from a height of 1.2 m and complies with protection class IP52. Without the mobile terminal, the RG760 pistol grip is sealed against dust and water in accordance with protection class IP67. An integrated thermal sink prevents overheating and enables continuous use of the device. It can be operated within a temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C.
