UNITECH PA768: New Dimensions

Well-designed handheld with powerful features: The Unitech PA768 is an industry-grade data terminal. Its 6.3-inch display provides high image quality. With Google ARCore it is possible to map virtual objects in the real world. A brightness of up to 500 nits allows comfortable use even in bright ambient light. The touchscreen is made of gorilla glass and can be operated with the finger, a stylus or working gloves. The PA768 can be navigated even when the display gets wet.

Processor technology that is up to the new reality: The Qualcomm octa-core processor QCM6490 is designed for the new wireless standards. It offers best computing performance, high data throughput and unprecedented network coverage through Wi-Fi 6E and 5G. 6 GB RAM can be combined with either 64 GB or 128 GB flash storage. By means of a MicroSD card, the memory capacity can be expanded by up to 1 TB. The PA768 handheld computer runs the Android 12 operating system and is “Android Enterprise Recommended” certified. To ensure long-term use of the device, Unitech offers additional support. The PA768 is compatible with third-party MDM software solutions from VMware, SOTI and Ivanti.

Enterprise-grade data capture: The PA768 mobile computer is equipped with a standard range or optionally with a mid-range imager. The mid-range scan engine allows barcode capture from a distance of up to 10 m. Both imagers are capable of reading all common barcodes and QR codes. A scan button is located on each side of the device. For RFID capture, a UHF RFID pistol grip is available as accessory (RG768).

New standards for voice and data communication: There is a new lane on the data highway—with Wi-Fi 6E, the 6 GHz frequency band can be used in addition to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. In environments with a high device density, the PA768 handheld data terminal has the edge. The 5G standard enables faster and more stable mobile connectivity as well as excellent network coverage. The PA768 is also equipped with GPS and Bluetooth 5.2.

Integrated cameras: In most industries, cameras are indispensable for workers. The PA768 is therefore equipped with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera. They enable, for example, the use of collaboration platforms and AI applications.

Rugged device for use in any environment: The industrial-grade mobile terminal PA768 can withstand drops from a height of 1.5 m. With an additional protective bumper, it is even resistant against drops from a height of 1.8 m. It complies with protection classes IP67 and IP65 against the ingress of dust and water. The temperature range for the use of the PA768 is from -20 °C to +55 °C.

Standard or extended battery? The handy PA768 mobile computer is equipped with a powerful 5,100 mAh battery as standard. A high-performance battery with 7,600 mAh is available as option. Batteries can be changed quickly and easily due to the one-piece design of battery and lid. The PA768 is hot-swap capable.
