TOSHIBA BA400 SERIES: Adaptable Desktop Label Printers for Industrial Environments

The label printers of the Toshiba BA400 series come with a newly structured operating system and software platform. A new processor architecture and a memory capacity of 128 MB FROM and 128 MB SRAM ensure that printing tasks are fulfilled reliably and accurately.

Different environments require different characteristics. The BA400 series’ printers are available with metal housing (BA410) for industrial environments or with plastic cover (BA420) for desktop solutions. Because of its hinged design, the compact printers of the BA400 series by Toshiba can be effortlessly opened, which enables user-friendly media loading. The printers are also equipped with an LED display and 3 operating buttons.

There are software development kits (SDK) available for Windows, iOS, Android and Java ensuring high adaptability. Via NFC, the BA400 series’ printers can be easily paired with Bluetooth-enabled mobile devices, such as handheld computers, smartphones or tablets. By means of such portable devices, it is also possible to configure and control the printers and to execute print jobs.

The label printers of the Toshiba BA400 series allow direct thermal or thermal transfer printing. A high resolution of 300 dpi or 203 dpi, depending on the model, makes sure that the print results are of excellent quality. With a maximum print speed of 8 inches per second, smooth working processes are guaranteed. A wide range of media types can be used, for example, vellum paper or labels, matt or glossy coated paper, synthetic film, PET film or polyimide material. Optionally, there is a UHF RFID module for RFID encoding available, enlarging the application field of the advanced BA400 printer series.

For uncomplicated integration into any sort of IT environment, the Toshiba BA400 series’ printers are equipped with USB host, USB 2.0 high speed and Ethernet 10/100 as standard. Additionally, dual-band WiFi (2.4/5 GHz), a serial or parallel interface as well as an expansion I/O board can be optionally added.
