TOSHIBA B-SX8T: Fast High-Resolution Label Printing

The Toshiba B-SX8T is a high-performance label printer for industrial environments. With print speeds of up to 8 ips (203 mm/sec.), it works incredibly fast. Its advanced print head technology results in clear printouts with a resolution of 305 dpi (12 dots/mm). The Toshiba B-SX8T can process direct thermal or thermal transfer materials with a maximum print width of 213.3 mm, allowing large format label printing.

The processing of large data files does not present a problem for the Toshiba B-SX8T. It comes with an extensive internal memory capacity and offers multiple connectivity options. The versatile desktop printer is equipped with USB 2.0, LAN (10/100 Base) and parallel port. A serial port, WLAN and an expansion I/O interface board are additionally available.

Wide opening doors enable easy access for media loading or ribbon change. The Toshiba B-SX8T label printer has a clear and uncomplicated user interface, including 3 keys, a 2-line LCD display and 3 LEDs for simple operation.

To ensure cost-efficient use, the Toshiba B-SX8T is backward compatible and it comes with a ribbon save function as standard. Intelligent software tools enable the management of all printers throughout the network simultaneously but also allow real-time monitoring of individual printers and immediate error analysis and problem solving. The included Basic Command Interpreter (BCI) program modifies incoming data to create the correct label formats. It also enables communication with external devices such as, for example, barcode scanners.
