RUGGON REXTROM PM-521: Rugged Multi-Purpose Tablet Computer
The RuggON Rextorm PM-521 is a fully rugged tablet computer with unique features, such as the extremely bright (1000 nits) 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with optical bonding technology for an improved optical quality, remarkably brilliant colors, less reflection and higher durability. The high-resolution display is perfectly readable in bright sunlight and can be operated with fingers, with gloved hands, with hard tip pen or digitizer. The RuggON Rextorm PM-521 provides an impressive visual experience.
An Intel Atom E3827 1.75 GHz processor with 4 GB (optional 8 GB) DDR3L and 128 GB storage (expandable to 256 GB), ensures high-performance data handling. The RuggON Rextorm PM-521 tablet runs either Windows 10, 8 or 7 or the Android 4.4 operating system. For improved security, the innovative PM-521 mobile computer is available with Janus USB Ignition Key and Phoenix SecureWipe as an option.
The robust tablet Rextorm PM-521 by RuggON is equipped with a backup battery to enable a hot-swap battery change. Clever power management in ECO mode ensures long battery runtime. For even more power, there is a high-capacity battery (9000 mAh) available, lasting for up to 13 hours. The ideal solution for field work.
The RuggON Rextorm PM-521 comes with a 2-megapixel and a 5-megapixel camera. The PM-521 pad can be customized by adding a professional 2D barcode scanner or a 2-in-1 NFC and smart card reader. Optimal communication is ensured with WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 + EDR and optional 4G LTE. Also, the smart tablet computer is equipped with a GPS system. A switchable dual pass-through connector for WLAN, WWAN or GNSS guarantees a stable connection and is particularly useful for in-vehicle applications.
Designed for the use in challenging environments, the RuggON Rextorm PM-521 portable computer is ultra-robust. It is sealed against the ingress of dust and water complying with protection class IP65. The rugged tablet computer can withstand shock and vibration according to MIL-STD-810G and it survives drops from a height of up to 1.5 m. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects the display. The Rextrom PM-521 by RuggON can be operated within a temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C.
