PANASONIC TOUGHBOOK A3: Customizable Fully-Rugged Android Tablet  

The Android-based Panasonic TOUGHBOOK A3 comes with an advanced Qualcomm SDM660 octa-core processor and provides 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB eMMC 5.1 memory. Memory can be extended with a MicroSD/SDXC card. The TOUGHBOOK A3 runs Android version 9. For data-sensitive business applications, the tablet includes ARM TrustZone security technology. The mobile computer supports Panasonic’s COMPASS (Complete Android Services and Security) software solutions to enhance performance, management and security.

For a flexible use, the TOUGHBOOK A3 provides a Gadget Port to add modules and customize the tablet computer according to application. It is possible to add a barcode reader, a smart card reader or an additional USB Type-A port. As standard, the TOUGHBOOK A3 is equipped with USB 3.0 Type C, USB 2.0 Type A (Host only), a port replicator and optionally a dual antenna connector.

A 10.1-inch anti-reflective display ensures convenient use even in bright sunlight. To enable video conferences or photo capture, the TOUGHBOOK A3 mobile computer has two integrated cameras: an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. For the use in noisy environments the compact tablet is also equipped with an extra loud speaker reaching up to 94 dB and a microphone with noise cancellation technology.

The Panasonic TOUGHBOOK A3 Android tablet offers latest wireless communications options. It is equipped with dual-band WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/d/h/i/r/k/v/w) with MIMO technology, Bluetooth 5.0 class 1, GPS and NFC. If required, 4G LTE can be added as option (supports 3-G Siena EM7455). The TOUGHBOOK A3 comes with dual-battery design. The standard 3200 mAh batteries allow runtimes of up to 9 hours, the extended 5580 mAh batteries enable up to 15 hours operation.

The TOUGHBOOK A3 tablet computer by Panasonic is made for rough environments and can cope with harsh treatment. It can withstand drops from a height of up to 150 cm and is shock resistant. In accordance with protection class IP65, the tablet is dust proof and sealed against spraying water and low-pressure water jets. The TOUGHBOOK A3 can be operated within a temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C.
