NORDIC ID HH53 SERIES: Mobile Terminals with RFID and Barcode Reading Capacities
The RAIN-based RFID reader, which the HH53 mobile computers by Nordic ID are equipped with, was developed for industry sectors, where fast and accurate data collection is indispensable. The data terminal is equipped with the advanced NUR2-1W UHF RFID module for high reading performance. It supports ETSI as well as FCC/IC frequencies. Depending on business requirements, the HH53 mobile computer is available as standard model or as ACD model. The standard model comes with a compact form factor. Its antenna has a linear polarization, providing a reading range of up to 1 m. For more complex tasks, the HH53 ACD version comes with a pistol grip and is equipped with an adaptive UHF RFID antenna. It offers three modes: a linear polarization mode for reading distances of up to 10 m, a circular polarization mode for up to 6 m and a proximity mode, allowing reading distances as short as 1 cm. The device reaches reading speeds of up to 1000 tags per second.
Besides RFID tags, barcodes also play an essential role in many industries. Therefore, the Nordic ID HH53 mobile computer terminals additionally come with an advanced barcode scanner. The 2D imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes. Its bright LED aimer switches automatically between scan line and aiming dot ensuring uncomplicated use of the barcode reader.
The Nordic ID HH53 handheld terminals provide appropriate processing power for smooth running applications and reliable data handling. The 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 quad-core CPU comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB Flash. As most users are familiar with the Android operating system, they are able to use the terminal intuitively.
A 4.3-inch touch screen enables convenient operation of the Nordic ID HH53 series mobile computers. It is daylight-readable and protected by Gorilla Glass 2. Underneath the display, a five-button keypad also contributes to a comfortable use of the data terminal. The HH53 handheld computers are equipped with Ethernet 10/100, dual band WiFi (2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 4.2 class 2. 3G and GNSS can be added optionally.
Both models of the Nordic ID HH53 series are equipped with a user-replaceable, high-performance Lithium-Ion battery. Even during intensive use, batteries last for up to 12 hours (HH53 ACD)/8 hours (HH53).
