NEWLAND MT90 ORCA PRO II: Smart Mobile Computing and Flexible Data Capture Options

Data processing: The mobile terminal MT90 Orca Pro II from Newland is light and compact and always at hand. Modern work processes are based on access to information and the dependable processing and transmission of data. The MT90 is therefore equipped with a 64-bit octa-core processor with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. In addition, a MicroSD card with a storage capacity of up to 128 GB can be inserted. The mobile computer runs Android 11 and is recommended for enterprise use (Android Enterprise Recommended).

Device management: The Ndevor software solution by Newland facilitates integration and deployment of the MT90 data terminal. Ndevor offers intelligent management options such as device monitoring and remote troubleshooting. Access to apps can be preset in accordance with application requirements. Ndevor improves security and enables the localization of misplaced devices. The MT90 data terminal is also compatible with third-party solutions, for example with MDM software from SOTI and VMware or TE solutions from StayLinked and Ivanti.

Data capture: The 5-inch MT90 Orca Pro II mobile computer has a barcode scanner with a megapixel sensor that captures all common 1D and 2D barcodes quickly and reliably. A virtual scan button on the touchscreen or two physical scan buttons on the left and right side of the device can be used to trigger the scan. The Acuscan technology enables users to precisely select and scan individual barcodes that are printed close together. This applies to codes on pick lists or shipping labels, for example. But the MT90 has even more to offer. Its data capture capabilities can still be expanded. For example, if RFID data needs to be captured, a UHF RFID pistol grip (UR90) can be added. It enables ultra-fast RFID reading at a speed of over 900 tags per second. If barcodes need to be scanned in upper shelves or from a greater distance, a pistol grip with the Duo Near & Far scan engine (EX90) offers an ideal solution.

Cameras: The MT90 is equipped with two cameras. An 8-megapixel camera on the rear can be used to take photos and the 2-megapixel camera on the front for video calls.

Wireless connectivity: The MT90 Orca Pro II provides Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity. Two SIM cards can be inserted (1 SIM and 1 MicroSIM). The device supports GPS and is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0.

Durability: The MT90 Orca Pro II mobile computer can withstand drops from a height of 1.5 m. A protective rubber boot is included in the package. The device is sealed against the ingress of dust and water in accordance with protection class IP65. The capacitive touchscreen is made of scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass.

Batteries: As standard, the MT90 is equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery. An extended battery with a capacity of 6,500 mAh is available as an accessory. The batteries support fast charging and are replaceable. This enables use of the device across multiple shifts.
