NEWLAND HR23 DORADA: Affordable Entry-level Hand Scanners

Best decoding performance: The HR23 Dorada scanner series from Newland is ideal for use at the point of sale. The hand scanners deliver outstanding performance when reading all common 1D and 2D barcodes at close range between around 3 cm and 30 cm. They even capture poor quality codes, for example badly printed, dirty or damaged barcodes. Users simply aim at the code with the red LED aimer and trigger the scan. After a successful scan, they receive visual, acoustic and haptic feedback. The scanners are very light and have an ergonomically shaped handle.

Robust design: The handheld scanners in the HR23 series are particularly robust and can withstand drops from a height of 1.5 m. This makes them suitable for very busy working environments or self-service checkouts. The wired model is suitable for operating temperatures between -20 °C and +60 °C, while the Bluetooth model is suitable for temperatures between -10 °C and +50 °C.

Hands-free scanning: Two stand variants are available as accessories: an adaptable smart stand that enables table and wall mounting and a stand with a flexible gooseneck. By using a stand, the two barcode readers can also be operated in presentation mode and your hands remain free.

Uncomplicated configuration: Newland supplies the EasySet configuration software, which enables quick and easy setup. With EasySet, configurations can be changed or cloned, and the firmware updated.

Bluetooth model: The wireless Bluetooth version is particularly convenient to use. A radio range of up to 100 m allows freedom of movement. With the batch mode, captured data can be saved directly on the scanner and transferred to a host device later. Another excellent feature is the powerful rechargeable battery, which enables an operating time of more than 12 hours per charge. The battery is replaceable so that the scanner can be used practically around the clock.
