What are possible application fields for the Honeywell ScanPal EDA5S? The portable data terminal is suitable for retail or field service applications. Because of its slim design, it can be taken along in a pocket. The rugged mobile terminal can also be used for applications in warehousing or transport and logistics environments.
Processing power for your workflows: The ScanPal EDA5S by Honeywell comes with a Qualcomm SM6115 2.0 GHz octa-core CPU. You can choose between 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage or 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. It is possible to extend storage capacity by up to 128 GB with a MicroSD card. The handheld terminal ScanPal EDA5S runs Android 11. The operating system is upgradeable.
Convenient handling: Because of its light weight and ergonomic design, the ScanPal EDA5S can be conveniently operated with one hand. The 5.5-inch touch display provides a large user interface. Gorilla glass ensures high scratch and break resistance.
Fast data acquisition: The integrated Honeywell S0703 imager captures 1D and 2D barcodes in any condition – even damaged or poor-quality codes.
Photo capture and video calls: A 13-megapixel rear camera enables high-quality photo capture, for example, to provide evidence of damage. For video calls, there is a 5-megapixel front camera integrated.
Wireless connectivity: The Honeywell ScanPal EDA5S touch computer is equipped with Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. If required, a WWAN version is available as well, providing 4G LTE and GPS. The cellular model has two SIM card slots, one nano SIM and one eSIM card slot.
Ruggedness: Mobile workflows require robust devices. The data terminal ScanPal EDA5S can withstand multiple drops from a height of 1.2 m to concrete. It is sealed against dust and water complying with protection class IP67. Operation temperature ranges from -10 °C to +50 °C. The modern touch computer is equipped with a replaceable battery and supports quick charge.
