The Honeywell CT40 HC mobile computer runs the Android 8 operating system. Upgrades and support are ensured through Android R making the CT40 HC a future-proof investment. Honeywell’s Mobility Edge software platform provides tools to enable fast and easy deployment of only one or a large number of devices. Mobility Edge also includes management and productivity tools for an improved performance as well as visibility and diagnostics tools to ensure transparency and longevity of the handheld terminals. As data security has become a major issue in connection with sensitive patient data, the Honeywell CT40 HC data terminal complies with FIPS 140-2 Level 1 security standards.

The handheld mobile computer CT40 HC facilitates data collection by means of an integrated 2D imager. It captures all sorts of 1D and 2D codes that are common in healthcare environments. Even very small codes or curved codes on vials or patient wristbands can be captured. With the 13-megapixel camera, photos can be taken, for example, for documentation reasons. Secure connectivity options, such as WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth, enable a fast and uncomplicated transfer of data. The CT40 HC is also equipped with NFC and supports push-to-talk (PTT).

For convenient operation, the handheld CT40 HC by Honeywell comes with a 5-inch multi-touch display. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 ensures high durability. To prevent dust or liquids to damage the device, it is sealed in accordance with protection class IP64. Housing and connectors are disinfectant-ready making sure that the terminal can be wiped with cleaning agents regularly to prevent the spread of germs. The mobile computer CT40 HC is made for everyday use in hectic healthcare environments and therefore particularly robust. It can withstand drops from a height of 1,2 m without a problem. Its high-performance battery lasts for up to 12 hours per charge providing power for more than a whole shift.
