With the new Honeywell 8680i wearable scanner/mini mobile computer it is possible to skip several working steps. There is no need to pick up a handheld barcode reader or mobile data terminal for data acquisition, information access or confirmation of fulfilled tasks. The Honeywell 8680i does it all in one device. For convenient use, depending on work requirements, the Honeywell 8680i can either be attached to a two-finger ring strap or a glove mount, allowing free movement of hands. The scanner can be comfortably triggered with the thumb. Workers may focus eyes and hands on the task at hand. The new Honeywell 8680i improves safety and efficiency at the same time.

The Honeywell 8680i Advanced model comes with a configurable display and a two-button user interface. It is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11ac and includes an SDK, allowing network communication and customized app development. Standard and Advanced versions provide Bluetooth 4.1, Class 1 with Adaptive Frequency Hopping (2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz). Due to integrated NFC functionality, the devices are easy to pair.

Even high-volume projects can be tackled with the ergonomic and lightweight Honeywell 8680i wearable. To prevent fatigue, they are equipped with an omni-directional area imager, which makes barcode scanning perfectly simple. The Honeywell 8680i is available with either a slim or with an extended battery, depending on requirements regarding size and weight, lengths of shifts etc. Honeywell also ensures uncomplicated setup and management of the compact devices.

Made for all sorts of environments and designed for permanent use, the Honeywell 8680i ring scanners/smart gloves are particularly robust. They comply with protection class IP54 and can withstand drops form a height of 1.5 m. The devices can be operated within a temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C.
