BROTHER RUGGEDJET-4200 SERIES: Robust 4-inch Printers for On the Go
A rugged solution: The Brother RJ-4200 series’ printers are ideal for on-the-go printing, for example when delivering goods, in the warehouse or in field service. The mobile printers can also be connected to a docking station in a vehicle. The devices are extremely robust. Today’s workflows are often time-sensitive and devices may occasionally drop down during a shift. However, the printers in the RJ-4200 series can withstand drops from a height of up to 2.1 m. Even in case of an impact, the devices are designed in a way that the media roll does not shift. The printers are protected against the ingress of dust and water in accordance with protection class IP54. Whether the temperatures are hot or cold, the RJ-4200 mobile printers are ready for use.
A versatile solution: The direct thermal printers in the RJ-4200 series are suitable for printing text, barcodes (1D), and matrix codes (2D) on labels or paper. Continuous rolls can be processed as well as media with gaps or black markings. The print resolution is 203 dpi and the maximum print speed is 127 mm per second or 5 ips. A very useful feature is the double tear-off edge. This allows printouts to be easily torn off upwards or downwards.
An uncomplicated solution: The RJ-4200 printers are easy to use. They are equipped with a small display, an LED and four buttons. They can be paired with other devices via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (depending on the model). Brother provides SDKs for Android and iOS (enables AirPrint). The printers are also compatible with Windows. Further software solutions, for example for configuring the devices and creating labels (P-touch Editor), are also provided. The printer languages are: Raster, ESC/P, P-Touch Template, ZPL2 Emulation, CPCL Emulation. The memory capacity is 256 MB RAM and 64 MB Flash.
