BARTEC TC78ex-NI: Handheld Terminal for Use in Hazardous Locations

The handy TC78ex-NI touch computer from BARTEC ensures transparency and reliability, even in environments with potentially explosive atmosphere (NEC Class I, II, III Div.2 and ATEX/IECEx/UKEX Zone 2/22).
A powerful scan engine: With the integrated SE55 scan engine, you can capture 1D and 2D barcodes effortlessly regardless of their condition. Depending on the barcode, the scan range is up to 12.2 m, offering maximum flexibility. IntelliFocus technology increases workflow efficiency thanks to high scanning speeds at close and long range.
A high-performance processor: The BARTEC TC78ex-NI is equipped with a Qualcomm 6490 octa-core CPU. It has a clock frequency of up to 2.7 GHz. The terminal provides 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. With a microSD card, storage capacity can be extended by up to 2 TB.
Upgradeable OS for long-term use: The data terminal TC78ex-NI is based on the Android operating system. Version 13 is integrated and can be upgraded to version 16—a future-proof investment. Google Mobile Services (GMS) can be restricted as required using the “StageNow” management tool which is part of the Zebra Mobility DNA software suite.
A large Full HD+ display: The 6-inch high-resolution display provides a comfortable size for displaying graphics and documents. It enables convenient navigation between business apps and can even be operated with gloves. Scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass protects the touchscreen.
A wide range of wireless connectivity options: Benefit from high-speed data communication. The TC78ex-NI handheld provides Wi-Fi 6E for fast and stable internet connection even in areas with high device density. The terminal is also equipped with 5G cellular and can be used with a nano SIM and an eSIM. It enables GPS access. Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC are integrated.
Cameras and PTT: The TC78ex-NI industrial mobile computer has a 16-megapixel rear camera for photo capture and an 8-megapixel camera on the front for video calls. PTT Pro from Zebra Technologies can be used for voice and text communication.
A robust device with replaceable battery: The BARTEC TC78ex-NI mobile computer is suitable for use in rough environments. Operation temperature is between -20 °C and +50 °C. The device is resistant to drops from a height of 2.4 m over the entire temperature range. At room temperature it can even withstand drops from a height of over 3 m. It is sealed against dust and water in accordance with protection class IP68. The fast-charging battery is user replaceable and warm swap enabled (battery change only outside hazardous areas).
