ADVANTECH AIM-75S: Robust 8-inch Tablet for Industrial and Warehousing Applications
The Advantech AIM-75S mobile computer has a handy 8-inch format. The touchscreen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and can be operated with a finger, gloves or a stylus.
The industrial-grade tablet is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and offers 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. A microSD card can be used to expand the storage capacity by up to 2 TB. The data terminal runs Android 12 and is “Android Enterprise Recommended” (AER).
The AIM-75S is equipped with Wi-Fi for network access and data transfer. If the device is to be used for field service, an LTE/GPS cellular option is available as well. Bluetooth and NFC are integrated.
With the two cameras, an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel camera on the front, you can take photos and make video calls. In many industries, digital data capture is an important part of working processes. Various extension modules are available for the AIM-75S, for example, a barcode scanner for capturing 1D and 2D barcodes or a UHF RFID reader (see extension modules).
The Advantech AIM-75S is made for industrial environments. It has a high vibration tolerance and is therefore suitable for installation in vehicles such as forklifts. A vehicle dock is available as an accessory. The tablet is sealed against the ingress of dust and liquids in accordance with protection class IP65. The device is also resistant to drops from a height of 1.2 m on plywood and of 1.8 m with a rugged case.
The AIM-75S has a user-replaceable battery with up to 12 hours runtime of per charge. Multiple charging stations for up to 6 tablets or 4 batteries are available as accessories.
