ACD HasciSE: Wearable Barcode Reader

The ACD HasciSE barcode scanner was especially developed for warehousing and logistics environments. Workers need reliable data collection tools that can be used without interrupting the workflow. The wearable HasciSE provides the freedom of movement required and ensures easy operation. It is equipped with a bright and highly visible laser aimer. A scan can be triggered automatically through a proximity sensor or by means of a button at the top side of the scanner. The accessory hand strap also has an integrated trigger button, which can be conveniently operated with the thumb. The user receives clear visual and haptic feedback.

The integrated Zebra SE4710 imager enables 1D and 2D barcode capture. It is possible to add DotCode capabilities as option if required. The ACD HasciSE barcode reader can be easily fastened to various accessories, for example to the dedicated wrist strap which can also be worn over a glove to allow flexible use. There are also retractable tethers available that can, for example, be clipped to the belt. Because of the standardized press studs, it is even possible to create customized solutions.

For the connection with Bluetooth-enabled devices, the ACD HasciSE is equipped with Bluetooth 4.0. It is compatible with Bluetooth devices that run Bluetooth 4.0 or higher, for example the ACD M2Smart®SE and the M270 mobile computers or to the MFT 10 and MFT 12 vehicle terminals.

The HasciSE wearable barcode reader is particularly durable. Its housing is made of ABS material and because there are no moving parts integrated, the HasciSE provides a high drop resistance. It is sealed against the ingress of dust and water complying with protection class IP54. The mobile data capturing device can be used within a temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C. Long battery runtimes are another advantage of the ACD HasciSE. It enables up to 7500 scans per charge.
